Frequently Asked Questions

Can I request a costume not currently in stock?

Yes, we would love to add to our rentals if there is a variation we don’t have a costume for. There will be an upcharge for ordering materials and the cost of labor. We also ask that new costume requests are paid for and finalized two months before the date you need it by to allow for shipping times and construction.

Are costumes available for purchase?

On a limited basis, yes. However keep in mind these are professional quality costumes and can cost several thousands of dollars depending on the design. As we would be forfeiting the ability to rent the costume out in the future, we would need to charge the full value of the costume.

Is there a budget friendly option?

Every dancer deserves to look and feel their best onstage regardless of personal circumstances. We have some simpler options for lower cost available, please reach out if this is an option you would like to explore.

When can I expect my costume to be ready to take home?

We prepare costumes on a first come first serve basis. Once your rental contract is signed and we have received payment, you will enter the queue. For reference we usually have requests processing as early as July.

What is included in the rental price?

With your professionally made costume, you will receive a matching handmade hairpiece appropriate for your variation. Your dancer will be fit as many times as needed to make sure everything is perfect. Also, unlike most rental companies, you may hold onto your costume for the entire competition season. All we need is the date you need your costume ready by and the date of your last performance.

What should we do when we are done using our rental?

We will either come pick up the costume or you may drop it off. Do not launder/dry clean as we have special cleaning methods to preserve the life of the costume for years to come. You may spot treat minor stains with Shout or Spray and Wash and lukewarm water.

How do you take care of a professional costume?

While in your possession, we ask that you take the utmost care of our rental pieces. Damaged/missing costume pieces and improper care may result in fines. Do not apply hairspray or make up while in costume (this also applies to headpieces.) Please avoid eating/drinking anything other than plain water in costume. When not in use, place your costume in the provided garment bag and keep away from small children and pets. All of this in mind we understand accidents happen. If something happens to the costume please reach out as soon as possible and we can walk you through a solution.
